1. Definitions

"We", "us", "our" refers to Safety Certificate Logan, a trading division of Tick It Roadworthies Pty Ltd, operating under AIS Licence #12673. "You", "your", "customer" refers to the person or entity booking our inspection services. "Service" means the mobile safety certificate inspection and any associated advisory reporting provided by us.

2. Scope of Services

We provide mobile safety certificate (roadworthy certificate) inspections for light vehicles under 4.5 tonnes GVM — including cars, SUVs, 4WDs, utes, motorcycles, scooters, motor trikes, trailers, caravans, and light commercial vehicles — across Logan City Council and surrounding areas as confirmed at time of booking.

Our inspection is a safety inspection only. It assesses whether your vehicle meets Queensland's minimum safety standards at the time of the inspection. It is not a comprehensive mechanical assessment, and we make no representations regarding the general mechanical condition, reliability, or future performance of any vehicle.

3. Your Responsibilities

To ensure an efficient and thorough inspection, you agree to present your vehicle in a condition that allows our inspector to work safely and effectively:

• The vehicle must be reasonably clean to allow safe access to all inspectable components
• The battery must be sufficiently charged to enable testing of all electrical systems
• The vehicle must have adequate fuel for any operational checks required
• Loose items should be removed from the interior so floors, seatbelts, and structural areas are accessible
• The vehicle must be parked on a flat, firm, hard surface with enough clearance on all sides
• The vehicle must be legally accessible to our inspector at the agreed time and location
• You must provide accurate vehicle details (make, model, year, registration) at time of booking

Where these requirements are not met and the inspection cannot proceed, a call-out or cancellation fee may still apply.

4. Fees and Payment

Full payment is required prior to or at the commencement of the inspection, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Our pricing is as quoted at time of booking. We reserve the right to adjust quoted pricing where vehicle details provided at booking are materially different from the vehicle presented for inspection. All prices are inclusive of GST where applicable.

5. Vehicle Damage and Liability

Our inspectors exercise all reasonable care during inspections. However, we are not liable for pre-existing damage, latent defects, or damage that occurs as a result of operating a vehicle that is in a compromised condition at the time of inspection. Our liability is limited to the value of the inspection fee paid.

6. Safety Certificate Issuance

A Safety Certificate will be issued where a vehicle meets Queensland's minimum safety standards as assessed at the time of inspection, in accordance with TMR guidelines. Issuance is at the sole professional discretion of the licensed inspector.

Where items are identified that require attention, a written advisory report will be provided. In accordance with TMR policy, you will have 14 days from the initial inspection date to have those items attended to and present the vehicle for follow-up assessment.

7. Appointments and Cancellations

We ask for reasonable notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 2 hours' notice of the scheduled appointment, or where our inspector arrives and is unable to proceed due to circumstances within your control, may attract a cancellation or call-out fee of up to 100% of the inspection fee. We will always endeavour to provide prompt notice of any changes on our end.

8. Privacy

We collect personal information (name, contact details, vehicle information, location) solely to provide our services and communicate with you regarding your booking and certificate. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except where required to deliver the service (e.g. TMR registration systems) or as required by law.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Queensland courts.

10. Amendments

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any booking confirmation and applicable Queensland Government regulations, constitute the full agreement between you and us regarding our services.

13. Force Majeure

We will not be held liable for delays or failures resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, or government directives.

14. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us directly in the first instance. If a resolution cannot be reached, assistance may be sought through the Queensland Office of Fair Trading.

15. Right of Refusal

We reserve the right to decline or cease an inspection where: the vehicle or location presents a safety risk to our inspector; the information provided at booking is materially inaccurate; or conduct at the time of inspection makes it unreasonable to proceed. A call-out fee may apply in such circumstances.
